2017 is planned to be another great year full of many success stories from our artists and friends.

So if you have a finished art work that you think is pretty great, be sure to send a photo through to us. We love hearing of success stories from our talented customers and we'd appreciate the opportunity to share these stories with everyone we know.

WOW! The Art Republic shop has undergone an upgrade over the Christmas and New Year break and we have a great new look!

Customers can now enter the store via our fabulous new glass doors which provide a huge amount of glorious natural light.

So if you're around town, pop in and visit us in store to check out our changes, we're pretty sure you'll be impressed by our groovy new look!
Australia Day is on it's way.

Art Republic will be closed on Thursday 26/1/2017 for Australia Day. We'll be back open again at 10am on Friday 27/1/2017 for business as usual.

This year has flown by so fast, we're already at December! The Team at Art Republic hope that 2016 has been a kind and wonderful year, full of creative and rewarding experiences for all of our fabulous customers.

In our December News we've included an update on our November Resin Workshop which was incredible fun. To help make sure you've got Christmas covered there are some gift suggestions and we've also included advice on our open and closed times throughout Christmas and the New Year.

Christmas is once again almost here and it's time to share our love, food and generosity with those we care about. If you're looking for a gift for a creative friend, Art Republic is sure to have it covered. During November, Art Republic held a Resin Workshop that was well received by all. In this workshop participants had a great time creating their own individual artworks using Epoxy Resin while they learned great new skills that can be practiced at home.

The workshop was so well received that the Art Republic Team are planning the next one in the new year so stay tuned for updates.

Suzanne from S&S Wholesale visited Art Republic in October to host a Derwent Pencil Workshop. This was an interactive, hands on event where participants learned about Derwent pencils and how to use the different types of pencils in the Derwent range to achieve various results. Zest It Pencil Blend is great for blending coloured pencil, wax pencil and oil pastels without leaving residue on the paper.

Easily applied using a cotton bud or clean brush, it blends quickly and smoothly allowing additional layers of pencil to be applied over the top.

Epoxy Resin is an exciting new medium used by acrylic artists to provide an impacting result to a painting or for abstract artists who are looking for unexpected and spontaneous results.

To participate, no prior experience or qualification in art is required, we'll teach you all you need to learn about how to prepare for, use and apply resin in this workshop.

Course cost is $120 per person including all materials for use on the day.
